NetNow is looking for ambitious, motivated software developers to join an existing development team responsible for the development of our core products and services across a variety of technologies. As a member of the tightly integrated technical team, work involves design, development, support and maintenance of existing and new projects on these core systems.

 

NetNow's new agile development team is focused on converting existing core systems over to hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. Your work will also extend to working with the NetNow SaaS team helping to build these new solutions. Requirements

Essential Skills.

• A Computer Science, Maths or Engineering degree

• Demonstrated passion for software development

• Experience in building and deploying software using industry-standard tools like Maven or Ant.

• Experience with Jira, SubVersion or similar SCM application

• Tomcat (application deployments, configuration of new instance and trouble shooting)

• Experience with frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate

• Practical experience of developing client and server side software using Java, JavaScript & AJAX

• Database experience DB2, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server & MySQL

• Practical experience of writing SQL queries for a leading relational database

• Some demonstrable knowledge of UNIX, LINUX and UNIX scripting

Preferable

• PHP

• Knowledge of HTML with CSS

• Practical experience of Java EE (J2EE) technologies including Servlets, JSP and EJB

• Good knowledge of Maven

• Good knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies and development frameworks

• Good awareness of social networking principles and technologies

Desirable

• Knowledge of C language

• Knowledge of an MQ implementation
