The Role

NetNow is looking for a talented, ambitious and motivated individual to take on this demanding role. The role will involve supporting the Sr. Director of Global Marketing to develop and implement NetNow's digital marketing programs and new website, promoting the organization and building global awareness of its new (SaaS) based solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

 

Web-Site:

• Work closely with the design and marketing teams you will be jointly responsible for planning, developing and implementing the new NetNow web site.

• Provide integrated tools to assist marketers and developers to dynamically contribute to the company’s online marketing and support programme.

• Contribute ideas and solutions to the company’s overall digital marketing strategy.

• Perform day-to-day web site maintenance and content updates.

• Implement standards for the design and build of sites and online

• Perform quality-control for third party content and maintaining and developing small web applications.

• Document web best practices and ensuring maintainable code.

Social Media:

NetNow pursues an active and expanding social media policy, you will be required to:

• Facilitate the incorporation of social media into the NetNow website

• Help expand and the NetNow “brand experience” across all suitable platforms via incorporation of suitable social media technologies.

• Contribute ideas and solutions to the company’s social media strategy.

• Perform day-to-day social media activities where required.

Technology:

• Keep abreast of new technologies and adapt new methods of communication and delivery as they apply to NetNow strategies.

• Communicate relevant or interesting developments to the team.

 

The Candidate

This position represents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to be an early pioneer helping to develop a new cloud based community. We require someone with experience and flexibilty.

Experience in Web Site Development is Essential.

Education: Bachelor’s degree & accreditations or measurable field experience.

Language Skills: Good writtten and oral communication and presentation skills (English).

 

Development Skills:

Key Requirements:

• Experience developing medium to large scale dynamic websites using development frameworks

• Ability to correctly specify platforms and scalable solutions fit for purpose

• Knowledge and experience of CMS, e-commerce and social websites

• PHP, XHTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery & AJAX

• Ability to create standards compliant code - Java, CSS, HTML etc

• MySQL  (and other RDBMS)

• Unix / Linux

• Knowledge of browser compatibility issues for all platforms/major browsers

 

Other Desirable Attributes:

• Awareness of and interest in general and industry specific trends in the web community

• Good knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies and development frameworks such as zend

• Awareness of and interest in social networking,  principles and technologies

• An aptitude for graphic/web design would be a great bonus but not a key requirement

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
