- Gartner, Inc. 2006 IT Event Correlation and Analysis Magic Quadrant Report.

Manchester, UK., -- June 13, 2006 – Interlink Software, a global leader in delivering Business Service Management, today announced it has been positioned in the Niche Players quadrant on the Gartner, Inc. 2006 IT Event Correlation and Analysis Magic Quadrant Report, authored by Gartner analysts Debra Curtis, David Williams, and Will Capelli published June 13, 2006. Gartner's Event Correlation and Analysis (ECA) Magic Quadrant evaluates a vendor's ability to execute and completeness of vision relative to a defined set of evaluation criteria regarding current and future market requirements. "Interlink Software is proud of its entry into what is our debut Magic Quadrant and extremely happy to qualify for this product category," said Grant Glading, VP of Sales & Marketing at Interlink Software. “Our background working within the data and network operations centres of numerous large corporate organisations over the past decade has given Interlink Software the grounding to operate in the IT Event Correlation and Analysis space over and above the BSM market that we are most well known for. This is in direct contrast to many of the other BSM vendors who are focussed on the service views, reports and CMDB and do not have a credible event management and correlation underpinning their offerings,” he continued.

According to Gartner, niche players are a combination of new entrants to the event management market, vendors with limited vision or execution, and vendors that focus on a small segment of the market and do it well. Narrow focus reduces their vision ranking and limits their addressable market, making them unable to achieve a high ability-to-execute ranking. However, the narrow focus enables them to achieve great depth of functionality in their chosen areas.
