Business Enterprise Server (BES) delivers a highly scalable, dynamic enterprise
console designed for the 21st century data center with high performance event
management and service-aware automation capabilities. Superior ease of use over
last generation enterprise consoles and seamless Business Service Management (BSM)
capabilities make BES the first choice for customers looking to "sunset"
their BMC Software PATROL Enterprise Manager (P EM) or IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console
deployments (T/EC). Interlink Software offer consulting services to
assist with conversion from P EM or T/EC to BES. We have worked with numerous
organizations converting away from the P EM and T/EC platforms to BES offering
customers a low-cost, highly functional alternative while maintaining their existing
investment in 3rd party products, operational processes and intellectual property.

Event Management and Correlation:
Deliver an event management focal point for the entire enterprise.
As soon
as the Interlink Software Business Enterprise Server (BES) software is installed,
the software begins collecting data that can provide your organization valuable
insight into its IT infrastructure availability metrics and the logical and physical
composition of the IT infrastructure. Our customers have realized the benefits
of BES very quickly, with typical deployments of BES as an enterprise console
taking around 1 month from project start to production ready system. Bi-directional
event management integrations provide sophisticated synchronisation of events
and actions between BES and 3rd Party enterprise applications such as Microsoft
Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM), IBM Tivoli Enterprise Portal, CA Unicenter
NSM and BMC Performance Manager.
BES would provide your organization: - A
GUI based rule builder eliminating the requirement to configure the system via
text files, and/or develop message-processing logic in programming languages such
as JavaScript, BAROC, etc.
- A role based web dashboard flexible enough
to support all types of users from read-only to full command-and-control.
- Context
sensitive drill-down to underlying 3rd party consoles, diagnostic tools, vendor
online documentation, books, contact lists, etc.
- Alert management capabilities
to enable audit and synchronisation of real-time alerts with incident management
systems. Available functions to include: assign, close, supervisor assign and
add comment.
- A GUI to configure policy based automation and alert enrichment
with access to service hours, holidays, planned outages, service structures and
OLA/SLA details.
