We’re pleased to announce we’re among the sponsors of IT in the Park 2016.

Scotland’s biggest IT Service Management and IT Operations Management conference takes place on the 25th October at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh. The 2015 event attracted 200+ delegates – IT professionals from across industry sectors. Speakers last year included the CTO of Arnold Clark, the CIO of St Andrews University and senior IT people from Standard Life, the Scottish Government and Fife Council.


IT in the Park 2016 – what to expect:

A day of inspirational, expert case studies from the coal-face of enterprise IT. News of the latest products and services. Opportunities to mingle with your peers – compare notes, share ideas and make new contacts. In addition to the core best practice and value driven IT services programme this year’s event will also include streams devoted to complementary industry hot topics like Service Integration and Management (SIAM), DevOps and IT Asset Management (ITAM). All against the dramatic backdrop of Arthur’s Seat in Holyrood Park – arguably one of the more attractive settings for a UK IT event – in our opinion!


The speaker line-up includes Allen Ensby from our long-standing customer VocaLink. Allen is VocaLink’s Enterprise Management Team Manager and will be presenting a session called ‘You can’t manage what you can’t see – visualising the health of the IT services you deliver to the business. VocaLink provide payment services for banks, corporates and government departments. Last year they processed over 11 billion transactions with a value of £6 trillion. In the UK they process 90% of salaries, more than 70% of household bills and almost all state benefits. They also connect the world’s busiest network of over 70,000 ATM’s.


VocaLink’s services are delivered in real-time, so high availability is absolutely critical. Peaks in demand must be catered for. Nothing less than a flawless user experience is acceptable. Allen will describe the challenges of delivering services in such a demanding environment. He will look at how understanding the impact of IT issues through the dynamic visualisation of IT monitoring data and business metrics in the form of management dashboards enables VocaLink to proactively resolve incidents BEFORE they impact the business.
